Kolkman Guitar House is built on decades of experience, craftsmanship and a lasting passion for guitars and music.

At the heart of Kolkman Guitar House is Jan Kolkman, who brings more than five decades of experience in the music industry. As a professional musician, he performed for many years with various bands, including twelve years with Normaal and several years with The Heinoos and Old Ni-js. He has also performed alongside numerous renowned Dutch and international artists.

For the past 17 years, Jan has also been active as De Gitarendokter, a business specialising in the sale, repair and maintenance of guitars, as well as guitar lessons. This combination of decades of practical experience as a musician, repair specialist and dealer has given him an in-depth understanding of instruments, their quality, character and technical condition.

With Kolkman Guitar House, we continue that tradition, with a strong focus on exceptional and high-quality vintage guitars.

The next generation has now joined the journey. Chiel Kolkman, a qualified engineer with a passion for guitars, technology and product development, brings an additional technical and analytical perspective. His experience in developing and bringing products to market combines with a strong appreciation for exceptional instruments.

We are not a conventional guitar shop, but passionate enthusiasts with an eye for detail, authenticity and quality, and a deep appreciation for instruments with a story, character and lasting value.
